Sugar Land Performing Arts Center Set To Open

The Grand Opening for the Sugar Land Performing Arts Center, known as Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land, is planned for January of 2017. If that sounds like a long way off, take heart. The $84 million performing arts center is aiming to announce a few performances by late spring or early summer of this year, and a soft opening is planned for December. “The soft opening will feature community events and possibly small scale concerts,” said Marketing Director Andrew Huang.

In addition, Exclusive Grand Suites are currently available for purchase. Each suite can accommodate 20 guests and includes complimentary valet parking. Only 14 suites are available; for more information, email grandsuites@smartfinancialcentre.com.

The concert venue, which will be just off U.S. 59 and University Boulevard, is a joint venture between Sugar Land and the ACE Theatrical Group. It can accommodate between 3,200 and 6,400 guests depending on its configuration. For more information, visit smartfinancialcentre.com
